T H E C H A L L E N G E
The client operated on a complex legacy estate of multiple
MS SQL Server instances and disparate file systems
holding over 1,000 tables of critical financial data: claims
processing, regulatory reports, customer analytics and risk
management datasets. Roughly 2.5 million transactions
moved through it daily. Fragmented architecture, manual
compliance processes and hard scalability limits were
blocking advanced analytics and slowing regulatory
reporting.
O U R A P P R O A C H
We designed and deployed a three-tier Snowflake cloud
architecture using Fivetran for automated ingestion and
Matillion for ETL. Bronze holds immutable raw data, Silver
carries business transformation and curated views, Gold
powers analytics and machine learning. Security and
compliance were built into the architecture from day one
rather than bolted on before an audit — and the entire
migration ran without disrupting production transaction
processing.
